Applying for a Stall

If you are interested in having a stall at the market, you need to download and complete an application form. Please read all the information on the form carefully because we cannot process incomplete applications. Closing date for applications is normally about four weeks before the market date.

You will also need to download and complete the relevant Risk Assessment forms.

  • Generic Risk Assessment form (all stalls)
  • Fire Risk Assessment (hot food stalls)
  • Types of Risk (hot food catering).

Applications for a stall must be completed and posted to the address given on the form and MUST be accompanied by a cheque for the fee and an up-to-date certificate of Public Liability Insurance.

NB if you’ve already applied for the April market and wish to be considered for the July market, there is no need to apply again. If you don’t want a stall at the July market, please let us know. Thanks.

Stall prices

Hot food stalls £80, cold food £60, all other stalls cost £40 – payable with your application.

Each stall space is 3m x 3m and stall holders are required to supply their own tables , gazebos etc.

A regular feature of every market is the live entertainment provided by local musicians and choirs. Come along to the purple market tent to enjoy the wonderful music, have a drink and maybe have a bit of a dance to the tunes played by the Boogie Merchants mobile disco.

If you fancy having a go at entertaining the crowd yourself, we have Buskers Corner. Come along, book yourself a slot and let everyone hear how good you are. Everyone welcome!
