You will also need to download and complete the relevant Risk Assessment forms.
- Generic Risk Assessment form (all stalls)
- Fire Risk Assessment (hot food stalls)
- Types of Risk (hot food catering).
Applications for a stall must be completed and posted to the address given on the form and MUST be accompanied by a cheque for the fee and an up-to-date certificate of Public Liability Insurance.
NB if you’ve already applied for the April market and wish to be considered for the August market, there is no need to apply again. If you don’t want a stall at the August market, please let us know. Thanks.
Hot food stalls £80, cold food £60, all other stalls cost £40 – payable with your application.

In normal circumstances, we have an area of the market devoted to children’s entertainment and activities. As this next market must be organised to keep every one safe and able to maintain the necessary social distancing, we have decided that it would not be wise to have an area where children and parents congregate. Therefore, there will not be any children’s activities this time. However, hopefully they’ll be back in time for Christmas!
A regular feature of every market is the live entertainment provided by local musicians and the Boogie Merchant disco. However, the great music often draws crowds of people who stop in the road to listen. So reluctantly, we have decided that the famous purple music marquee won’t be appearing at this market. We are still hoping to put some music on the green area in Dyson Place if we can do so safely, to cheer us all along.
